From Resident in Counseling To LPC - Congratulations Angela DeBoard

We hope you will join everyone at Calming Wind Counseling Services in celebrating Angela DeBoard who has successfully passed her licensure exam and has been approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a licensed professional counselor. This concludes her journey as a resident in counseling over the past two years. Angela hopes to be able to use her new credentials to assist clients in the community even more than she has been able to as a resident in counseling.

Angela works with clients of all ages, having experience with children as young as 5 years of age, tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults 65+. Angela enjoys working with individuals, families, and groups. Angela has clinical experience working with an assortment of mental health concerns including individuals who struggle with ADHD, depression, panic/anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and struggles with relationships.

Angela uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
