Kevin DiFazio, RIC

Welcome, adventurers! Kevin DiFazio grew up in south Jersey and moved to Virginia Where he attended college at James Madison University and so enjoyed his experience that he became a permanent transplant. Kevin has always enjoyed unraveling the backstory of characters both in fiction and in real life. As a Resident in Counseling, Kevin uses a strength based approach to help clients unmask and uncover their true personas in order to have a better understanding of their own goals and how to reach them.

Kevin enjoys sharing, exploring, and connecting with each client's unique interests and personal narrative to build a therapeutic relationship. Kevin uses his  various experiences to empathize with people of different backgrounds. He especially enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds, specifically children, adolescents and people in the LGBTQIA community.  Life is unpredictable and  full of unexpected challenges/adventures. Kevin finds meeting clients where they are in their journey is the most effective way to help them determine the best path for themselves. Exploring different triggers, barriers, and obstacles on each person’s unique  journey can help clients find the way to re-write their own narrative and experience while providing them with the skills to manage the unexpected. Kevin draws from many treatment  modalities ranging from a person-centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to develop a unique set of solutions for each client.
